US History

World History

World history or global history as a field of historical study examines history from a global perspective.

Geography

Geography is the study of places and the relationships between people and their environments. Geographers explore both the physical properties of Earth’s surface and the human societies spread across it. They also examine how human culture interacts with the natural environment and the way that locations and places can have an impact on people. Geography seeks to understand where things are found, why they are there, and how they develop and change over time.

Ancient Greece

The study of Greek history traces the development of Greek civilization as manifested in political, intellectual, and creative achievements from the Bronze Age to the end of the classical period. 

Ancient Mesopotamia

Mesopotamia, an ancient land that covered modern-day Iraq, and the first civilization it bore was called Sumer. Concorde Tutoring’s tutors will explain the mastery of irrigation and agriculture, how the Mesopotamians developed complex urban societies, and their incredible ways of thinking about the world through writing, art, literature, astrology and even warfare.

Art History

Art history is the study of aesthetic objects and visual expression in historical and stylistic context. Traditionally, the discipline of art history emphasized painting, drawing, sculpture, architecture, ceramics and decorative arts, yet today, art history examines broader aspects of visual culture, including the various visual and conceptual outcomes related to an ever-evolving definition of art. Art history encompasses the study of objects created by different cultures around the world and throughout history that convey meaning, importance or serve usefulness primarily through visual representations.
